Having only a few females at home, the litters are sparingly. I usually breed to keep a puppy for myself, and they are always raised inside my house. From birth, my puppies will experience different things to make them best as possible suited for the world after leaving the nest, and I expect my puppy owners to continue the work I have started in the puppy pen.

When choosing a puppy and/or breeder, please remember that this dog will be your companion for his or hers entire lifetime, so choose wisely and always ask for health results as well as other testing done on the dogs. All results from my dogs are on their pages respectievely, but feel free to ask if you still have any questions.

Only when we know what we have, we can avoid combinations carrying the same conditions.

Any breeder who tells you their dogs/lines are free of disease are either lying or have not bred sufficiently to encounter the problem.

There are no guaranties as to how a pup will develop, and so they are sold as pets first and foremost. However, I do stribe to make a dog suitable both for the showring and the workingfield.

At 7 weeks of age the pups will be Volhard tested and matched with their prospective new owners, as best to our knowledge. Read more about Volhard testing HERE.
Many also know this test as the PAT or Puppy Aptitude Test, and it is a valuable tool.

Breeding for temperament and health foremost, we invite all owners to undertake the Swedish MH test after the dogs are 12 months of age. This is so we can further evaluate our breeding.
To the extent possible, I try to book the MH testing for a whole litter at the same time and place, and make a sosial event out of it as well - we should have fun with our dogs!

Any health results done on our puppies are welcomed, as without a broad number of dogs tested we can not properly know what we are breeding.

Also, be truthful about the questions below. I am after the very best of homes for my furbabies.

  • Why this breed? Experience, interest.

  • Where do you live? In what conditions will the dog live? Do you have a fenced yard?

  • What other pets do you own now? Breed? How many?

  • Who will be the primary caretaker of the dog?

  • Do you have children in the household ? Age ranges.

  • How many hours a day will the dog be left alone?

  • Do you plan on showing, working or will the puppy be a family pet?

Our kennel collaborates with Oslo Hundeskole on a national level, and for those of you situated in Bergen, RettVest Hund.
